Following the industry-shaking debut in Qatar on April 15th, BAIC’s flagship off-road vehicle, the BJ40 PRO, made its landing in Kuwait on May 12th, marking a milestone moment in the global expansion of China’s hardcore off-road brand through this “dual-country strategy”.

This high-tech off-road extravaganza spanning two core Middle Eastern markets not only showcases the deep-rooted heritage of BAIC’s six-decade legacy as an “off-road dynasty”, but also redefines global perceptions of Chinese manufacturing through intelligent, premium product innovations.

At the launch event in Qatar, 150 media representatives witnessed not just the debut of a new vehicle, but a revolutionary fusion of traditional off-roading and cutting-edge technology.

The 600-kilometer desert route from Doha to Kuwait City serves as the strategic framework for BAIC’s Middle East expansion. As key hubs along this “desert economic belt”, these two cities serve distinct strategic purposes: Qatar’s launch event focuses on premium brand building, establishing a high-end image through penetration into elite political and business circles; while Kuwait, as the automotive consumption trendsetter in the Gulf region, creates immersive customer experience scenarios.

At the launch event, Ahmad Abulhuda, the General Manager of BAIC Kuwait dealership, showcased BAIC’s manufacturing prowess and strategic vision to 300 guests. He stated that BAIC is not only one of China’s top five automotive manufacturers but also the designated producer of national military vehicles.

 

He emphasized that the BAIC’s robust research and development capabilities, combined with its advanced manufacturing systems, ensure exceptional product quality. Ahmad pointed out that the introduction of the BJ40 PRO marks BAIC’s commitment to serving the Kuwaiti market with higher standards, meeting diverse consumer demands for high-performance off-road vehicles.
