The BJ30 right-hand drive model maintains the family’s signature rugged off-road genetics in its exterior design. Bold, angular body lines create a powerful silhouette, while the iconic five-hole front grille paired with sharp LED headlight clusters commands attention. The floating roof design and 18-inch two-tone wheels add a modern, dynamic flair. The flat roofline and full-frame roof rack emphasize both practicality and off-road capability, while the vertical tailgate with vertical dual-D taillights ensures exceptional nighttime visibility.

02 Refined Interior Blends Technology with Comfort

Inside, the BJ30 emphasizes both functionality and technological sophistication. The dashboard features a recessed design housing a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch central display powered by the 8155 chip. A distinctive horizontal air vent runs across the center console. The driving area is equipped with an aircraft-style shift lever and a crystal-textured driving mode selector knob.

03 Robust Powertrain Options Meet Diverse Needs

The BJ30 right-hand drive model entering the Indonesian market offers multiple powertrain choices. The gasoline version features a 1.5T turbocharged engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, delivering stable power output suitable for daily driving and moderate off-road adventures. The hybrid variant combines a 1.5T engine with front and rear dual motors, matched to a 2-speed DHT transmission. This setup delivers performance comparable to a traditional 3.0T gasoline engine while supporting multiple modes including range extension, collaborative drive, and high-speed direct drive, balancing power with fuel efficiency.

Standard versions offer four driving modes: Comfort, Economy, Sport, and Snow. The Magic Core electric all-wheel-drive version adds three additional off-road modes: Mud, Sand, and Wading.

04 Localization Strategy Enhances Value Proposition

In recent years, BAIC Group has deepened its strategic partnership with Indonesia’s JIO Group, jointly planning and advancing local assembly of BAIC’s right-hand drive models. The BJ30 right-hand drive model is initially introduced as a complete built-up (CBU) import, available in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive configurations to meet diverse driving conditions. Importantly, local assembly production is planned to commence this year, which will significantly optimize cost structures and deliver more competitively priced products to Indonesian consumers.

To ensure exceptional quality in locally assembled products, BAIC and JIO have implemented stringent technical safeguards: both parties have sent professional technical personnel to China for comprehensive training, while BAIC international’s senior technical expert team has been stationed at the Indonesian facility to provide on-site technical guidance and quality control, ensuring every BJ30 that rolls off the production line meets BAIC’s rigorous global quality standards.

The launch of the BAIC Off-Road BJ30 right-hand drive version represents a pivotal step in BAIC Group’s product strategy for the Indonesian market, strategically completing its product matrix and providing local consumers with more diverse vehicle options.

Looking ahead, as the BJ30 local assembly project advances steadily, the model is expected to leverage its outstanding performance and competitive pricing to strengthen brand influence across the entire Southeast Asian region, continuously driving the internationalization of the BAIC Off-Road brand.
